Articles and Contributor Problem after Import

I know this was discussed before, but what was the solution?

After importing from MediaWiki everything was attributed to me. Can this be fixed after an import, or should I make sure I have the fix before I do a final import?

It would appear that not everything was attributed to you. In this case, the code that compares usernames is working correctly. If any one user account doesn't have their stuff attributed, VaultWiki couldn't find a user with the same username. There isn't much we can do about this, short of asking you to map every user in your database manually, or giving it to a user that doesn't exist (guest users).

Knowing as little as I do, would it be possible to have the import check both the vbulletin and wiki data base for a username. Since my forum and wiki were integrated using vbwiki pro, I am assuming all the users are in the vbulletin database. Is it possible the older ones are also (or just) in the wiki database. At any rate, none of the users have been deleted.

The data is only in the MediaWiki database. The importer already checks the vBulletin database to see if a similar user exists, but there is not actually a map anywhere.

vBWiki Pro actually seemed to work the opposite way as you think: vBulletin users were created in the wiki database. I believe there are other bridges that didn't even do that much. For this reason, there are some other wiki users that just don't exist in the vBulletin database (probably from before vbWiki Pro, or they were guest users) so it's not possible to use those.

Another thing we could do, though, is test the users' email addresses. If the usernames don't match, we can link the accounts if the email addresses that were used to register do.
