The History tab lists previous versions of an article. A user can only see this tab if they have permission to view the history for the current article. Depending on what other tabs are visible, History might be its own tab or appear under the "View" menu.
Each item in the list details the changes that were made by that edit, including: the user who made the changes, updates to the prefix or title, how many characters in the text were changed, which sections of the text were changed, the reason the user gave for the edit, and more.
Different kinds of edits are color-coded to highlight their relative importance in the history of the article.
The radio buttons next to each edit allow users to select different edits for comparison. After selecting two edits, click the "Compare Versions" button to see how much changed between them.
Each edit also includes other controls for leaving reputation, reporting problems to moderators, reversing the change, or outright removing it from the history. The availability of each option depends on the user's permissions.
If there are a lot of items in the list, it might be more than 1 page long. Use the "View" controls to see more of this list. Clicking any of the numbers in parentheses will change the number of items that appear on each page.
