      Google results for wiki articles

How do I make an article with an image on the right side of the page? Whenever I have tried to do this, usually I add the image details as the first thing in the article. For example, my wiki is a trails guide so for the entry on Upper Big Quilcene Trail, the trail picture would be the first thing like this.

[IMAGE]upperbigquilcene.jpg|400px|right|Marmot Pass on the Upper Big Quilcene Trail[/IMAGE

Then I add trail stats which should be on the left side.

      Mileage - 5.3
      Elevation Start - 2500'
      Elevation End - 6000'
      Elevation High Point - 6000'
Map - Buckhorn Wilderness Custom Correct Map
Best Seasons - Spring, Summer, Fall
      Difficulty - Difficult

So basically I have the stats on the left side and the picture on the right and it looks great. The problem I have is when Google crawls my page and you do a search for the trail on Google, the results will say something like.

Upper Big Quilcene Trail - Peninsula Wilderness Club
      [IMAGE]upperbigquilcene.jpg|400px|right|Marmot Pass on the Upper Big Quilcene Trail[/IMAGE - Mileage - 5.3

      Instead of:
Upper Big Quilcene Trail - Peninsula Wilderness Club Mileage - 5.3 Elevation Start - 2500' Elevation End - 6000' Elevation High Point - 6000' Map - Buckhorn Wilderness Custom Correct Map

How do I get my image on the right of the screen without Google seeing the image tags? Am I going about this wrong?

Right now I have all my images down lower on the page so this doesn't happen but I feel like I am compromising by doing this. I would really like my image to be seen without scrolling down the page and feel confident that google won't include the image tag in it's results field.

      I hope this makes sense.

The default vBulletin behavior is to use your site description as your page description.
With respect to the article text itself, Google actually sees that there are images there, not raw image tags.

vBSEO, however, is pushing the raw pagetext of the article as the page description, which in this case is not desirable. Because vBSEO sends the raw text, there is nothing you can do on your end without putting the images lower on the page.

We intend to override both description types in VaultWiki 4: https://www.vaultwiki.org/issues/1991/

Thanks for the explanation Pegasus. VaultWiki 4 sounds like a big update. I'm looking forward to it.
