      Adding wiki in a thread

      Just a quick question before I purchase this software. Instead of having a separate page for wiki, is it possible to add wiki in a thread? For example, start a wiki post right after the first post in a thread?

      Let me know.

      No, this is not possible. I'm not sure why you would want to do this.

      He wants to do NuWiki's "Article in Response to Question." Your FAQ says it can be done with books, but does not explain much about that.

      Do not use books. What you would do is create a "question" article and a separate "answer" article. What you do from there depends on why you wanted the posts to be separate in the first place.

      If you want to include the "question" article in the "answer" article, then the question article should not be an article per se but would contain a reference using the TEMPLATE BB-Code to a corresponding "question" template. You would then also use this template in the "answer" article.

      If your plan is to hide the answer unless users pay for a subscription of sorts, the "answer" articles should be placed in a sub-forum that can only be viewed by users with that subscription. The "question" article would link to the "answer," but they would not be able to view it in this case. They would receive a "no permission" error unless you set up some custom error message for this forum.

      This can now be done using the Following code in any article.

      Code:
      Opening text explaining the question.

      [h=1]Answer[/h]
      Text explaining the answer.
      The [H] tag splits an article into multiple posts when the optioncode 1 is used. As mentioned elsewhere on the forum, the PHP code that creates this behavior has some vBulletin hooks available so users can create plugins defining rules about when the "Answer" portions should be displayed.
