The find-new function on xenforo shows wiki pages that have been changed. Its already very useful to have this function, but asides from what articles have been changed the page does not provide much useful information and has a lot of unused space. Here are my suggestions for improvement:
list all authors that have edited the article since last visit.
list the last one or two edit reason(s). (whatever fits in the horizontal space. Cut off the edit reasons text if its long.
list the completion status of the article (once the functionality exists)
use the main article image as thumbnail (once the functionality exists)
list the creation date and the last edit date, same as xenforo.
I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the Find-New for Wiki Updates functions similarly to Special:Recentchanges, but has a cut-off of last visit or last day.
In this case, the Find-New results should show as much of the same information as Recentchanges as possible. Note: the extent of the history data is vastly improved in the next release. See: https://www.vaultwiki.org/pages/Special:RecentChanges
The new changes to the history display have actually been very revealing in terms of where there may be bugs in the versioning system. On the recent change list, you can see 3 roll backs to the same version in a row for 1 page, which implies that the rollback field is not cleared in new edits. On the XenForo demo, it appears that every change to an area via the Admin Panel generates a new revision, even if nothing versionable was changed.
Well I turned out to be wrong, but was able to include some info about the last changeset. The information shown here is definitely more useful than before, so I'm marking this as implemented.
I don't think there was ever duplication due to sequential changes in the Find-New function. I looks like it always searched for pages, sorted by last update time. So each page would only show once.
