      Vault Wiki and vB5 Cloud

I have been thinking about moving our rather large vBulletin/Vault Wiki site to the cloud to better support our distributed organization. Is that possible?

Is anyone running Vault Wiki with a cloud based vB5? Does the cloud even support mods to vBulletin?

I am jus starting to look into this and need some pointers.

I don't believe that vB5 cloud allows mods, but you would have to confirm with vB's customer support. On the other hand, we do not support regular (non-cloud) vB5 at this time, either. Due to the small number of sites that use vB5, there is not a high incentive for us to support it in any near future.

Please research this decision well. vbulletin 5 is not suited for a big board. Years after release its still not labelled Gold and I dont think it ever will be quality. Its not used by many because most webmasters that try it, realize quickly that it was a massive mistake. And then move back to vb3/4 or move to another platform. Mostly XenForo which was created by the original vbulletin developers.

vb5.2 is finally reintroducing hooks. (very basic implementation) but its much too late. All developers have long gone. And since vbulletin has lost a large part of its marketshare and less than 2% of all vbulletin sites use vb5 there is very little chance that vb5 will get addons. Even if it were possible.
