      vBulletin 4.2 - Alpha1 - Navigation Manager - Activity Stream

      https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...23#post2294223

vB4.2 is now public Alpha! and I can now talk about it (I'm on the NDA Alpha test team).

The navigation is broken as a result.

The fix will consists of removing the old navigation and replacing it with <navigation> markup in the product file and a small amount of plugin code.

The new Navigation Manger is a big plus in the long term as it makes navigation integration easier for add-on developers.

There is also the new Activity Stream feature.
Ideally new Wiki activity should flow into this and it has all the hooks needed to do that.

I found a problem with the latest WYSIWYG editor when posting in 4.2...
      Code:
      Call to a member function clean_gpc() on a non-object in /home/aptest/public_html/forum/includes/class_wysiwygparser.php(231) : eval()'d code on line 14
Looks like vB have changed something and it breaks
      Code:
      ./VaultWiki/upload/vault/plugins/bbcode/wysiwyg.php:function vault_wysiwyg_parse_start($text)
I'm happy to alpha/beta test for you if needed.

Thanks, spent the last 4 hours upgrading the site. It wasn't quick considering the nav changes, but looks to be working now, so the site is back on.

I suppose some people won't like this, but we won't be adding Activity Stream support until VaultWiki 4. It's part of the What's New tab, which we finally add support for in 4, and VaultWiki's own Activity Feed is slated for that version.

      I can live with that

As long as a consolidated Activity Steam is there (at least as an option) i.e. the vBulletin Activity Steam gets Wiki activity.

BTW I assume you will wait for vB4.2 Gold before releasing a VaultWiki upgrade kit?

As I said, I'd be happy to run VaultWiki (4.2 ready) in my Alpha1 test system
