Issues with Follow Edit Moderation Rules settings

Im trying to find out why some of my members their edits are ending up in the moderation queue, while their usergroup has ´Follow Edit Moderation Rules´ set to yes.

These members have two usergroups. The main usergroups has ´Follow Edit Moderation Rules´ set to yes, while their additional usergroup has it set to no.

1. Lower ranking usergroups do not have wiki editing permissions. If they pay, then they get wiki editing permissions trough additional usergroup permissions. But because paying says nothing about post quality, their edits should be moderated. This is why the additional usergroup has 'Follow Edit Moderation Rules' set to NO

2. Higher ranking usergroups have wiki editing permissions and edits need not be moderated. 'Follow Edit Moderation Rules' is set to yes.
If these members subscribe, they get the same additional usergroup as described above. This should not mean that their wiki edits are moderated though.


The edits of the second group of members is sent to the moderation queue, while this is unwanted behavior. How do I resolve this?

If the forum you're having trouble with has Custom Permissions, check that permissions page. Wiki permissions are also customizable on a per-forum basis.
