      Section style change?

I have managed to get small wiki section running as a test

      http://www.songofthepaddle.co.uk/forum/index.php

As you can see my forum has two sections, General and Sale & Exchange. Since enabling the wiki in the General section it has changed the style of the heading with the new icon, the namespace addition and the latest posts on the right hand columns. I preferred it the way it was, how do I make it go back?

Changing the icon is easy but I do not like extra info in the right hand columns as well as the namespace bit.

If you go to AdminCP -> CES VaultWiki -> Namespace Manager, and edit the namespace in question, setting a "Display Title" should remove the "Namespace" bit.

But it sounds to me like you want "Wiki Test Forum" to be the namespace. You can do this by first disabling "Wiki" in the Forum Manager for "General". Then, change "Wiki Test Forum"s Parent Forum to "No One". Then go to the Namespace Manager and use the "Display in Forum" setting to put it into "General".

Note: Since your wiki is still small you should be able to make those changes without any performance issues. It is never recommended to move namespaces like that once you have a large wiki.

      Thanks

The test wiki will be getting deleted once we are finished playing with it anyway so the size will remain small.

I had thought about setting the test section to having no parent but it limits where on the board I can place it. When I eventually create the wiki section it will have a number of subsections but I would still like the top level of that section to have the same heading appearance as the rest of the board. i.e. without the latest post information in the right hand columns. Is there a way of removing this?

FYI, when viewing your site as a guest, all of your forums show the last post information in the right hand columns. To remove it from the wiki bits, you can edit the template vault_general_forumbit.

If you have a look at the top level forum General and the same for Sale & Exchange Area you will see that the most recent posts ate not shown on the right. This lets these act as headings and dividers to separate up the forum, however, if I set the top level forums to wiki to allow subforums to be wikis then they get the latest posts on the right.

For the moment I have sorted this out but when i create a wiki section, like the General or Sale & Exchange Area I would like there to be a Heading / Forum like the General top level one to act as a heading / divider. My current thinking is I will have to make a top level forum that is not a wiki and make it display order 4 for example then make a top level wiki forums with display orders 5, 6, & 7. Layout wise these will then look like they are part of the section headed up by forum 4 but will actually be top level forums in their own right. This should achieve the look I want and as far as I know there are no operational problems that should be created by it.
