This is not vbSEO compatible immediately. The mod SEOs its URLs in a similar fashion to MediaWiki.

The URLs can look like either of the following:
      http://www.vaultwiki.org/showwiki.ph...Demo:Main+Page
      http://www.vaultwiki.org/wiki/Demo:Main+Page

vbSEO doesn't know how to handle this, so an .htaccess patch is required.

I definitely wouldn't want the URLs to contain the "+" sign, but instead possibly the "-" sign, is this possible?

Also, does this plugin automatically create the wiki template file to look just like a wiki, or does the thread and post content templates need to be customized to look like a wiki..?

At the current time it is not possible to define a custom space character for URLs. The title uses the standard PHP function urlencode(), which uses + signs. Using a different character would require a rewrite/wrapper of the functions urlencode() and urldecode(), and that would be too much of a significant change to release any time soon.

But to answer your other question: Yes, VaultWiki comes with a lot of new templates to make your wiki look like a wiki. Little to no customization should be necessary.

Am I missing the templates somewhere? How I do:

      - Find them
      - use (apply) them

      ??

I was referring to the tabbed layout of the articles. About 60 templates work together to do this.

Something that really bothers me with this site is the "Now taking you to your page" - the general loading message. This plugin does not add that does it? I hate it.

VaultWiki does not add that. A lot of people hate that on our site but the reason we have it in place is to prevent people from clicking Javascript things before the Javascript has loaded. While it is annoying it stops Javascript errors that are even more annoying.

This will be possible in VaultWiki 3.x. You can see it already in action on our site.

The new URL structure limits articles with "similar" titles, because special characters are translated or removed - so instead of checking the title, creating new articles checks if the URL would be the same as an existing one.

You actually have your choice of URL separators: +, -, _

This is only possible because the cache was also rewritten. It now uses less memory on most pages.

In VaultWiki 2.5.x, you could select URL separators: +, -, _

In VaultWiki 3.0.x, you can specify custom paths. e.g. http://www.vaultwiki.org/demo/Main-Page
Notice how the path is "demo"
