      Renaming Articles...

If i were to rename an article, what effect would it have?

I know I could test this out myself, but would rather know for sure.

I want to rename an article which is part of a book, but don't want to mess everything up in doing so.

In general the only articles you really should not rename are headers, special pages, and help articles, since these have specific functions based on their titles.

Renaming any article would break any links to the old title. I believe there is a mechanism in place for automatically creating a Redirect article in this case in order to preserve existing links.
