    2. VaultWiki: Legacy Options

This page is a chapter in VW3 VaultWiki Options
This setting group from the vBulletin options will allow the Administrator to change between new and old parts of VaultWiki.

Use the Legacy Special Page Listings

Special:Specialpages lists all Special pages a user has permission to view. In early versions of VaultWiki, these pages were presented in a bulleted list; now they are presented in a small number of categories.

Enable this setting to format this page as a list.
Disable it to format the page with categories.

Enable Support for Legacy Wiki Markup

When importing a wiki from an existing database of another wiki product, it is likely that the existing wiki markup is not the same that is used in VaultWiki.

Enabling this setting provides support for some of this markup, but it adds another complex process to the Wiki Code Parser. To reduce server load, this feature should only be active during the conversion process or a grace period given to wiki editors to get used to the new markup.

    Enable Legacy Hooks

The wiki's files are based on a number of default vBulletin files, but many of the hook locations have been changed or renamed for code efficiency.

An existing product installation may expect certain vBulletin hooks to be available when viewing articles, but instead its plugin code may break.

Use the checkboxes under this setting to select the default hooks you need to avoid any conflicts.Enable-legacy-Hook.jpg
