Creating a Forum Main Page
This is an old revision of this page, as edited May 25, 2010, 11:15 AM by SirAlex(contribs). It may differ significantly from the current revision.
When visiting a wiki forum, a user will normally be shown the thread list page, listing all articles in the current forum. However, Administrators can set an alternate page that users will visit instead.
While this feature is intended to set a default wiki page for a forum, you can set this to any URL.
Go to Forums & Moderators > Forum Manager and click to Edit the wiki forum you want to add a default page for. Find the setting called Forum Link and enter the complete absolute URL to one of your wiki pages. Save the forum.

If the wiki page doesn't exist, you can create it as you would any article.
Even with a default page set, you can still view the thread list by clicking any '(List)' link for that forum.
Note: Forums with vbSEO installed may experience difficulty using this feature. To prevent potential compatibility problems, go to vbSEO > Control Panel > Direct Links. Make sure the setting "Replace 'Forum Links' with direct links to target URLs?" is set to "No".
