Namespace Manager

A namespace contains articles. For the purposes of this guide, namespace means "a group of forums that share a parent-child relationship."
In each namespace, every article has a unique title. Every namespace has a unique prefix to the article's URL, usually the Title of the namespace.
If you visit the Namespace Manager, you will see a list of some pre-defined namespaces. These namespaces, as well as others that can be installed using modifications, each have special functions.
Editing Namespaces
The process for creating and editing namespaces is essentially the same. There are a number of Yes/No options, which should be pretty self-explanatory. There are also a number of input fields, outlined below.
vw_space_top.jpgEnter the Title of the namespace. This will be used as a prefix for article URLs, and it will appear in the forum list by this title.
You can enter a Display Title if you want the namespace to be called something else in the forum list, but this is optional.
Enter the BB-Code tag for the namespace. Wrapping some text with these tags will link to an article with that title, and will look for it in this namespace.
Enter a Display Order to arrange your namespaces on the forum list. A setting of 0 will hide the namespace.
vw_space_forum.jpgThe Top-Level Forum is the forum where new articles should be saved. It defines the uppermost level of the forum group. If you want to create a new forum for this, select "Create New Forum". Some more options will be available once you click "Save".
When creating a new namespace, you may also be given the option to create a new Parent Forum. This will only have an effect if you selected "Create New Forum" for the Top-Level Forum setting. When the Top-Level Forum is created, it will be added to a new Forum Category.
