Junior MemberOption to autocreate romanized synonyms for pages
In our fantasy forum there is a lot of discussion about characters with names containing characters like ûÚë etc.
When people discuss them they usually use the romanized names (i.e. û = u, ë=e etc..)
Our wiki pages about these characters are setup to be "correct", meaning that they will contain these special characters.
- To get the autolinking feature to work for forum discussions, we need to setup synonyms for these pages as well.
It would be good if vaultwiki could autogenerate "romanized" synonyms for pages e.g. on creation if it contains special characters.. (I guess this would be an option to be enabled in vw settings)
The implemetation of something like this should be fairly straightfroward:
I know at least Xenforo already provides helper functions that can handle the romanization:
Code:utf8_romanize() utf8_deaccent()
So if the option is enabled and "$romanized_name != $name" vaultwiki could set up an extra synonym for the pageCode:$romanized_name = utf8_romanize(utf8_deaccent($name));
