It is designed behavior for any page, including area pages, to be used for autolinks, unless its title is specifically added to the ignore list.
If some terms are used as an argument in the
body of a BB-Code tag, I'm afraid there are only a few ways to prevent this:
- Add the terms to the auto-link ignore list manually, for custom BB-Codes.
- Add the terms to the auto-link ignore list automatically, for first-party or VaultWiki BB-Codes (really only applies to GALLERY, TABLE, SPAN, DIV, TOC). I'm not familiar with a third-party TABLE that uses arguments in this manner, and header is not an argument in VaultWiki's TABLEs.
- Add the BB-Code itself to the internal ignore list so no autolinks occur on text inside the tag.
I can confirm the second issue as a bug, and will leave this issue open until it is resolved. If you want to have the option to exclude types of pages, like areas or templates, from autolinks, then please make a feature request.
Implemented, I think the best solution would be similar to this:
https://www.vaultwiki.org/issues/3866/
Like you want to exclude areas from autolinks, some users want to exclude attachments from search results, but having the choice to exclude multiple types -- areas or attachments or synonyms is even more useful.
