what are child pages in vaultwiki and how can i use them?

Are you referring to the notification checkbox "Notify me about... new child pages"?
This appears for content like Areas, Books, Categories, etc. A child page would be a page that is saved in that Area, is a chapter in that Book, or is listed in that Category.- lead developer for VaultWiki
