      A question about user permission

      Hi
I am planning to use vaultwiki for vbulletin, and I am talking about full version.
I want to encourage users to contribute more articles + block spammers,
so I wonder if each member group is possible to have a different user permission setting than the one of vB forum.

      eg:
Newly registered members can NOT post anything on the forum yet, but they can create/edit wiki articles + articles pending for admin's approval.
In other words, new members are allowed to post on the forum after their wiki articles are approved by admin only.

      Thanks

VaultWiki's permissions are separate from your forum permissions.

So you can have your forum permissions where:
      - User cannot post in forum A.

And you can have your wiki permissions where:
      - User can write wiki content in wiki area B.
      - User's wiki content requires approval.

Just like you can customize different permissions for each forum and sub-forum,
You can customize different wiki permissions for each wiki area.

      Cool.

Is it possible to change attachment-upload-server for vaultwiki?
I want to store vaultwiki's media files on a remote server.

VaultWiki 4.0 only allows for local-file storage.

VaultWiki 4.1 (currently Alpha) is written in a way that would allow custom storage handlers for uploads; however, the stock handler defers to the forum platform's storage system. In vBulletin, this means you would need to write your own handler, since there are no alternatives to local-file storage in core vBulletin (for attachments anyway). In XenForo 2, the handler uses whatever you have installed/chosen as your storage method there, since XenForo 2 allows for alternatives.

I am not aware of any coupon codes that work for that at this time.
