The wiki page search with predictive search is very useful. But its never used to find an image. Often image files come up and pollute the results. It confuses my members. Is it somehow possible to suppress this from predictive search?

Yes, you can change the default filter for the wiki search in AdminCP > Wiki > Content > Sidebar Blocks. Modify your wiki-search block (whatever you named it), and look for the option called "Filter Results By Type"
