Question Moving VaultWiki to Xenforo and Responsive Design

We are considering moving our site from vB 4.2.2 to XenForo.

      1. Will our current VaultWiki license be good for XenForo?
      2. Will we be able to get help migrating our Wiki to the new package?
      3. Is there an importer for VaultWiki between the two forum systems?

Our site is in bad shape at the moment. Our forum image handling has a problem and we have issues with post references and other features relating to existing add-ons. We are considering hiring someone from the XenForo community to assist with the migration. Would you be able to help/consult with them in doing that?

It looks like XenForo has pretty good support for responsive design with support for tablets and phones. Will we be able to use a responsive set of templates for VaultWiki.

XenForo appears to have implemented drag and drop image management with some additional support from the community to automate importation of url image references. Does VaultWiki integrate with the XenForo media system?

Thanks for any help you can offer with this decision.

      1. Your license is old enough to be eligible to switch to XenForo without purchasing a new license. You would have to request this via PM when you are ready. I always recommend doing so the same week that you intend to migrate, so that your old forum can have the most up-to-date version to work with during the migration.

      2. Yes, we provide support for conversions of VaultWiki+vBulletin to VaultWiki+XenForo. We also offer paid migration services for the VaultWiki data (our "Import Service").

      3. Yes, there is a built-in importer from one installation of VaultWiki 4 to another installation of VaultWiki 4 (using Admin Panel > Content > Import / Export). These two installations can be on separate forum systems, such as vBulletin vs XenForo, but it is recommended that they are on the same file system/server. You can setup & use the importer yourself, or you can order an Import Service.

We would be able to answer any VaultWiki-related questions your migration person has.

Responsive design is a standard of the XenForo default style. Thus, the styling of VaultWiki templates on XenForo keeps this standard in mind. If any parts of VaultWiki are not responsive to the extent that XenForo is, this should be considered a bug.

VaultWiki does not yet have drag-and-drop support for wiki attachments / images inserted into wiki pages. And since wiki-attachments cannot use any forum software's attachment system, it cannot use the forum implementation of drag-drop support. However, we are planning to add drag-drop support for wiki attachments in the near future, as well as some support for forum-style attachments on wiki pages which would use the forum's drag-drop implementation. In the mean time, if you use XenForo Media Gallery, any features of XenForo Media Gallery that add-on adds to the editor should continue to work as expected in the wiki editor (this may or may not include drag-drop support for XMG images - I am not familiar with that add-on).

However, for VaultWiki's wiki comments, the attachments should use the forum implementation, including any drag-drop support.
