Easiest way to add images to wiki articles?

A question from my members:

Okay, so I managed to upload and include an image in the FAQ today. The process was far from ideal however. This is how I managed to do it, please tell me if there is an easier or better way.

1) Clicked the gold icon to upload a file.
2) Uploaded the image file, which for some reason has to have its own page and category.
3) Inserted the file into the page in file tags, which caused the page to refresh losing all the other edits I had done to it.
4) Opened the page for the file so I could retrieve the URL for the image.
5) Added the image inside img tags.
6) Deleted the file page link originally created when uploading the image.
7) Save the changes.

Mind that this question comes from a very tech savvy member. Less tech savvy members have severe difficulty with the wiki attachment uploader and give up on it.

They could have stopped at step 3. The FILE tag inserts the image into the post. The user created extra work for himself, and I'm not sure why. If the page refreshed, that sounds like a bug.

The gold icon basically opens an album of all the images in the wiki. You browse the album, select the image you want to insert, or upload a new image. It's easier than dealing with URLs.

EDIT: I have confirmed and fixed the bug with the editor refreshing after upload. Users who had that issue should clear their browser cache.
