      Help with getting started

      Hi,

I have just purchased wiki vault and need some help with getting started:

      • Setting up templates
      • Having a contents on each page
      • Information on how to use sections
      • how to add tags to show the page name in text i.e {{page name}}
      • How to add variable strings for uls based on page name i.e domain.com/{{page name}} etc

Are they any examples of layouts or details of all the bb code, or code that can be used.

I have tried looking through the documentation, but nothing has stood as being able to help with these basics.

      Many thanks

      Martin

Templates are not really basic, more of an advanced feature.

You create a page that acts like a template. Use {{{param1}}} {{{param2}}} etc inside the template text to create blank spaces that you can fill in later. When you save the template, it will probably look like gibberish if you try to read it by itself. That's normal.

In a different (non-template) page, use the BB-Code:
      Code:
      [template]TemplateName
      |param1=Custom Text
      |param2=More Custom Text
      [/template]
Save the page and see your creation.

Congratulations, you just made a template and used it one time!
