How to attach an image?

Hello all!

I've got some difficulties to insert an image in a wiki page.

When using the editor menu "image", I just have the possibility to upload an image as an attachment (it creates a new attachment page in the wiki ... which is not what I want).
I just want to either paste an url to an image or use the attachment box from VB in order to upload a new file.

Can you provide a help on how to proceed please ?

You cannot upload a new file using vB's upload box. There are limitations with vB's attachment system that make it not work properly in a wiki. That is why wiki attachment pages were developed.

However, if you know the URL to your image, you can still use the old vB IMG tag:

Ok thank you for the tip.

So I've tried using the VW attachment, and it uploads correctly the file ... I can see a thumbnail once finished.
But when I store it, then the thumbnail disappears but I can see the size and the mime-type. But no image is left.

How is this possible? what can I check?

Note: when open area in which the attachment is, I can see the message "Could not find phrase 'vw_last_attachedit'.". What does this mean?

How to upload images in vW4?

When I try to upload an attachment in the images area I get an error when I try to create the item:

Could not find phrase 'vw_invalid_filehash'.

Please try downloading the ZIP again and copying it to your site again, as sometimes that may help for certain errors.

Hi,

The forum I'm a part of just got VW4 and I'm one of the people trying to get it setup and working. Iwe seem to be having trouble uploading images (.jpg) to an attachment page. We keep getting this error everytime we upload a .jpg file:
