Social Media Features into WIKI

Dear all,

maybe somebody has an idea - social media is a big topic in all webpages - as well i think it should be inclued to vaultwiki.

For example to get "LIKE" buttons from facebook or also to send something to facebook - or Google Plus and Twitter

Would be great to find a solution for this :-)

It would be easy to include AddThis into the templates.
AddThis has:
- social sharing with about every social service on the net
- login with twitter, FB, Google, etc.
- Trending content (most liked/shared content on your site)

If your forum has native social media integration (like vBulletin 4 has Facebook), then VaultWiki 4 should be able to find it and let you do the same kind of things (e.g. vBulletin 4 lets you notify Facebook of posts, but unfortunately has no Like function).

If you want greater functionality than this, it can be discussed.

hmmm normally vbulletin adds "thanks" & "share" buttons in the system but in vaultwiki i can not found something like this

I see vBulletin actually has added a Like button recently. We have to find out the exact version for graceful degradation, or adding support to VaultWiki could throw fatal errors in older versions of vBulletin. Hopefully the performance issues with Facebook integration were worked out as well, that way we can turn it on and do live testing here.
