Cannot accept changes when a username contains a quotation mark

I just came across an error. One of my users has double quotes in his name (") and if I try to moderate his changes to an article, I can't apply them. The skript tells me that a username should not contain (.
Now... Is there a workaround or do I have to ask the user to rename the account?

In vault/tab/inlinemod.php, find:

				$rolldata->set($field, $value);

Replace with:

				if ($field == 'username')
				{
					$rolldata->do_set($field, $value);
				}
				else
				{
					$rolldata->set($field, $value);
				}
