Few Questions Before Purchase

What allows you to do the tabbed view seen here: https://www.vaultwiki.org/

How would you recommend using sub-forums, categories, etc, to breakup/categorize articles for various technical topics but still sort thru for type of article (installation, repair, faq, resources, etc).

Well you need to pick one side or the other to start a 3-dimensional system:

Technical topic = subforum
Article type = category

OR

Technical topic = category
Article type = subforum

Once you pick a system, stick with it.

As for the tabs on our landing page, that was done using an API in VaultWiki. It requires some skills with coding. We have plans to change the API in the near future, and don't recommend people start any new code projects that use it at this point.

Interesting. I think that doing technical topic as subforum will probably match the flow of the board better. Is there a way to list all of the articles in a subforum via a bbcode instead of showing the standard forum listing?

How do preflixes work? What effect can they have on wiki articles? Can it solve this categorization by replace subform or category?

Prefixes change the effective title when linking articles, and change the article's URL similarly:

Article Name (Prefix)

Prefixes don't really help organize things any better, but they help make similar titles unique.

However, relying on these is something else you might want to avoid. We're removing prefixes in the next major release in favor of the category feature. To have unique titles, you can still add (parentheses) to your titles manually, there just won't be any prefabs.

Last question. When viewing the lite version that installed for trial, i noticed that the tags and posting permission boxes are not present when viewing a thread. The information is there, but it is completely un formated.
