I would like to see IP.Board integration, however forget paying more money for it.
I will use ipbwiki if you charge, after paying for IPB, and you expect money for wiki integration where ipbwiki is free and works.
Pegasus: one thing to consider with IPB, is that IPS has an official marketplace for addons. Which means more and faster sales. XenForo unfortunately does not allow commercial addons in their resource manager, and does not have an addon store built in.
You really can't compare IP wiki with Vaultwiki. Its a different league. IP wiki can be compared to vbWiki Pro for vbulletin. Its a bridge between mediawiki and forum software. I have been using it for a year. Mediawiki has a learning curve and thereby excludes a large part of your forum users. Moving to a native wiki solution was the best decision I could take. The contributions to my wiki greatly increased, once I moved to a native wiki. Users no longer have to learn 2 systems. They can just post like they are used to in the forum, with bb code, the same editor, the same discussion functions.
Plus what is extremely interesting is that forum and wiki functions can be mixed. i.e. reward your wiki contributors with forum reputation points*, easily suggest forum post content to a wiki*, use a reference manager in wiki and forum*, use wiki functions in forum, show forum functions in wiki, etc. This shows why a native wiki is in another league than mediawiki bridging.
* coming in Vaultwiki 4.
ug I too one look at ipbwiki and wanted nothing to do with it, if I wanted a solution like that I could bridge dokuwiki but I would like to have a wiki that is integrated not bridged!
After dinner I should be able to grind out the rest of the error phrases, and get to something more interesting: VaultWiki 4's custom admin-help.

YEs, good point. I added buttons to forum headers, which makes it possible to jump from a forum, to its related wiki, blog category, social group, image gallery category, etc. Extremely good to have.
Finally after spending hours trying to use iframes and popups that just didn't work right, just went ahead and used our overlay manager to create the admin help interface. A few more onclicks and onsubmits than I would've liked, but unlike the other options, it works.
For developers, the overlay-manager is a Javascript class we've written, which basically works as follows:
As long as the custom HTML is in a certain format, that's all it needs. Just a bit of exciting stuff to talk about in developer blogs or API docs when that time comes.Code:overlay = vw_Overlay_obj.create('unique_id'); overlay.set_html('custom-overlay-html'); vw_Overlay_obj.open();
Looking forward to using the Admin Help we've built as a more generic Help interface in future versions to help users make sense of posting options and the like.
Will continue training some other devs on how to use it tomorrow, so they can get to work writing the help entries.
Also, I should mention that now that the AdminCP seems to be in "Alpha" condition (good enough for public testing, or so it would seem), I've been talking with some testers about getting accustomed to it, learning it, and posting some blogs about the new stuff from a non-developer's perspective. I also suggested they do some screencast videos. We'll see how much of that actually happens. Hoping to get this started by the beginning of the week.
I should clarify that VaultWiki 4 is still NOT available for public testing (only in-house) since the front-side user experience still needs to be vetted and approved for public eyes.

Let me know if you need a fresh set of eyes.
The point of me "being here" was a call from a post on IPB.
I liked the idea that there maybe another option than ipbwiki.
Oh shit, really?......... Who'd a thunk
Being an asshole costs nothing, as you clearly show here.
Telling me to shut up and wait............
If this is the type of reply that I get for trying to support this vaultwiki, I am not sure I want to be a part of this community, nor pay to get abused.
As I have found out before, If the community is like this, so is the support.
