      Changing Input and Textarea Backgrounds

My forum skin that I bought is a darker skin, and the input and textarea elements have a dark background that makes it difficult to see what you're typing. I am able to set the background color back to white as far as the forum goes, but it doesn't carry over to VaultWiki for some reason, and after trying many, many CSS tricks, I am unable to figure out how to achieve this with CSS. How do you do this?

Is there a demo of the skin available somewhere? I will need to know more about it if it's not changing with the forum.

I'm afraid not. It's a skin I had custom built. Do the input and textareas in VaultWiki have a class that's unique to them? Maybe I could go in additional.css and override it there if they do?

That's the thing, the input and textareas don't have a unique class. If the skin's CSS for these was written like default vBulletin's, then the same rules should apply. I might be able to help more if you could post the CSS rules in question that don't seem to be doing anything.

The skin I'm testing it on is an older version of the skin. The newer one has the text boxes' backgrounds set to white. In theory, would it solve the problem if I installed VaultWiki on the newer skin? I mean, you would think it would change by setting all inputs and textareas to white in CSS, but since it isn't, I thought that might be an viable solution. And if it turns out it I can't get it to work with my skin, what all is involved with uninstalling it?

In theory, new or old version of a skin wouldn't matter; the CSS has to be right. Again I can't help unless you post the exact CSS you are trying to use to change the background. If you post this I can figure out what you need to change. Uninstalling Lite is the same as uninstalling any other vBulletin addon.
