Yes! Anything to make table creation easier for an average user would be superb. Drag and drop tables like WordPress or Microsoft word would be ideal.

Perhaps use of TinyMCE WYSIWYG text editor would do the trick. That allows for complex formatting, similar to what is allowed by WordPress (e.g., drag and drop tables).
I have installed this addon in my forum to get the desired response you are looking for. Now I can paste tables into the wiki, visually create and edit the wiki, etc.
