Import Pages from a Mediawiki site that Have Been Exported in XML format?

      Interested in the Premium version:

      1) Is it true that there is an importer to import directly from a Mediawiki database?

      2) Is there also a way to import the XML pages exported from a Mediawiki site (such as Wikipedia, etc.)?

      3) If I install the trial version and then upgrade to the premium version, will all the configuration settings I've made be retained or will I need to start over from scratch?

      Thanks. -- Rik

      1) Yes there is an importer to import directly from a MediaWiki database. There are currently some issues with very complex MediaWiki-format templates, which I am trying to patch tonight.

      2) There's no way currently to import XML exports from MediaWiki. I wasn't even aware of this capability. Can you link to some information on this?

      3) If you install the Lite version, the upgrade script will retain all the configuration settings that are still used by the premium version. You don't HAVE to start from scratch, but it seems like a lot of users do anyway.

      Thank you for your reply.

What I was referring to in #2 above are exported pages such as:

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Export

Can those be imported into VaultWiki?

      Thanks again. -- Rik

As mentioned above, this is not currently supported. I have posted it to the tracker (http://www.vaultwiki.org/issues/1864/) so that it can be added for a future release.

I hope it makes it in soon. No matter what, we will definitely be purchasing the premium version ASAP (before the price increase).

      Thanks. -- Rik
