The Source tab doesn't appear if the user can already see the Edit tab on an article. However, if the Edit tab disappears because the article is protected, closed, soft-deleted, (or if the user doesn't have edit permissions), then the Source tab WILL appear.
The Source tab is mainly useful for guest or non-editor viewing of the code so that they can reproduce in other posts/articles more easily.- lead developer for VaultWiki
