Namespace Main Page

Am I able to make a main page for a namespace (right now my wiki link in the forumbits defaults to the standard forum listing) and on that namespace page have a description of the namespace, and list recently updated/recently added articles with full article alphabetical listing beneath it?

Is this possible?

This has been asked several times throughout the forum. Yes it's possible to do what you ask, although currently a recently updated/added feature is something that you would have to write custom or update a list manually.

I understand. Thank you for your patience - I should have performed a more thorough search.

However this current procedure seems like a stopgap measure and is slightly limited, particularly when wanting to list recent updates etc. . It says in the wiki article you linked that you plan to make it a default feature for wiki. Is that still in the works?

The default page feature is something that's been in VaultWiki since its inception. The problem is just that we've yet to write any widgets that list recent updates, etc. This was not a default feature of MediaWiki when we migrated back in the 1.6 days (I believe it was an add-on to MediaWiki), so it wasn't added to the core product at the time.

This is planned, yes. Now that VaultWiki 3 is gold, we're looking at doing that very soon.
