Question REALLY confused about initial setup...

okay, ive been trying to figure this out for what feels like forever, but even after pouring through the documentation im pretty lost.

what i want to do is set up my wiki pretty much exactly like it is on this site, but i can't for the life of me figure out how this is supposed to work.

id like the main wiki page to show just like it does on this site, and it currently does, but i can't seem to get anything besides the "special" page to show up on it. id like to have "cities", "events", "work" and "help" (the help namespace) show up on that page. ive tried adding subforums to my wiki forum, but it's not working.

any help would be much appreciated!

You need to create "Cities" "Events" and "Work" namespaces. See Adding and Editing Namespaces

*slaps self on forehead* i guess i just kept missing the link at the bottom. my bad

just wondering though, should i put new namespaces as a subforum to my default wiki forum? i plan on using pretty urls and mod rewrite later to write the wiki urls to /wiki instead of /community/wiki (community is my forum subfolder). or does it not matter? thanks for the lightning response!

We don't really recommend putting namespaces as sub-forums of other namespaces, but this is possible. If you're talking about putting it in the same category as your default wiki forum, this is perfectly fine. Either positioning wouldn't affect the URLs.
