      Books and Chapters

I want to create a book and put articles in it.

I don't see any instruction on how to create a Book. Introduction to Books does not have a 'Create Book' Section. Is it someplace else? I went to Book in the Namespace Manager clicked edit and created a book but now I don't have a Book section - I have section titled what I called the Book. That doesn't seem right?

I created a series of articles in that section - but they're all termed books. !

I think I'm way off here.

The 'Book' section in the Namespace Manager is where all your Books will be saved. It's not just one Book.

You can use any article in any section to add chapters to a Book. On the article you want to add, use the Book tab to add it to a Book.

I changed the Namespace back to Book and now there's nothing in it. I just disappeared all the work I did!

Where are all the pages - 10 of them that I created? How can I get them back? All I have is the Forum pages now - the WIKI pages have disappeared.

I changed it back to the Name I had in there before (Patient Data Repository & Treatment Review Project) and the WIKI pages are still gone...

You can use any article in any section to add chapters to a Book. On the article you want to add, use the Book tab to add it to a Book.
My question was how do you create a book? I clicked on the book tab of one of my now missing article, clicked add to new Book - it brought me to a article page - I created that but it didn't create a book. The book tab showed that there are no Books.

The Book container is simply an article that was created in the Book namespace.
This is where I went wrong. I went to the Book Namespace clicked on Edit and then created what I thought was going to be a new Book.

You can get the pages back by clicking the Rebuild link for the Book namespace.

Got the pages back - thanks gods .

Now they are listed as books. When I click on the book tab it takes me to a post new article box.

I need to change them into articles and put them into a book.

Can you tell me how to create a book and do that?

When it brings you to the post new article box, it wants you to put in the name of the Book. Then, you'll have to type at least a brief introduction that will appear above the Table of Contents.

So many people are confused by Books / Chapters.
I suspect alot of potential customers get confused about how a wiki would work for them that they just give up on it entirely.
