      A Question or 2

Greetings, I'm currently planning on adding a new Wiki to one of my VB communities and as such I'm looking into my various options, I was hoping you could answer a few questions for me about your product... I know a few of these are probably stupid questions but I'd like to know exactly what I'd be purchasing if I decide to buy and when

1: Is it possible to upgrade from Vaultwiki (lite) to standard or premium without loosing content? (please note I'm not asking about pricing since I know that would mean purchasing a new licence at full price)

2: Is it possible to purchase a standard version now and then purchase and apply the "branding free" option later?

3: If I allow my support licence to expire (in 1 year) does that require me to uninstall the product?

4: If I allow my support licence to expire (in 1 year) then decide I'd like to renew, is that still an option or would I be required to purchase a new licence.

5: Do you offer any sort of guarantee?

6: If I purchase a premium or standard licence am I limited to installing the package on only 1 board? or does this give me the right to install this product on all of my personally owned boards?

      1) Yes, it is possible.
      2) I believe so.
3,4) Not sure of, you'd need Pegasus to respond for that.
      5) What do you mean? Guarantee that no data will be lost, a money back guarantee, or something else?
      6) Each license is for one live board, and one test (staff access only) installation.

      1. Yes.

      2. Yes, but you will want to download the files again in order to get them without branding.

      3. You are not required to uninstall the product. You just don't get any new updates.

      4. If your license expires, you are not required to purchase a new license. You can renew as usual, but keep in mind that in another month or two we will be making the renewal price variable dependent on whether your license has expired (it will still be less than buying a new license).

      5. Because this is a visible source product, like vBulletin, we do not offer a satisfaction or money back guarantee. There are some scary lines in the license agreement about what's not guaranteed, but we offer high quality support here and wouldn't release a product that we didn't deem ready for public use. With respect to data loss, you should be making regular backups of your forum anyway. During normal usage of the product, you should not have any serious problems like this. As with any software, occasionally you may encounter a bug, and that's why we release patches every few weeks.

      6. As Mokonzi mentioned, you can only install the product on 1 board per license purchased. You are also allowed to install the product on a test board that is only accessible by your staff.

Thank you for your quick responces.

I'll be installing the "lite" version tonight to allow my community to play with for a week or so, that way they can give me first hand feedback before I decide If I'm going to pursue a full licence.
