Using the images namespace

Hi everyone

I'm trying to work out how to use the images namespace.

From what I am reading, images that are used in articles are automatically added to the images namespace... as long as the photo and the article have the same name?? Doesn't sound right to me..

Can someone please clarify.

You have it somewhat backwards. You must manually add the image to the image namespace (the image-page must have the same name as the photo). Once it is there, users can use that image in any article.

I created an article and called it photo.jpg
I then attached photo.jpg to the article, but still got the same error 'You must attach a file with the same filename as this article's title.'

What is interesting is that when I upload my pictures, it adds an extra full stop into the file name ie: the file uploaded as photo..jpg.
However, changing the article name to photo..jpg made no difference.

This is a bug in vBulletin 4.0.2 that was fixed in 4.0.3. Can't help you much there.
