Images with reference to Authors - footnoted

Hi,

Just starting to set up our image banks. I make the image in the Images namespace but any text I post goes above the image.

What I want is the image, then underneath it some footnotes attributing author.

[footnote] doesn't work in Images namespace, so is there a way to do this?

Or even better does somebody have a template?

What is contained within the image article isn't displayed, all that is displayed when it's included in regular articles is the image, plus any caption you assign to the image when using it. i.e. it's possible to add details about an author or anything else you want to an image page, it just won't be displayed. In that way you wouldn't need the footnote, just some form of either table or (though I'm not 100% if this is possible as I've not personally done this) include a simple template.

In the Image namespace, the image appears at the bottom of the post, below any text you add. Even though the positioning isn't ideal for this situation, if you want to credit the photographer, this is probably the best place to do it.

When you place the image in another post, as Mokonzi mentioned, you can add a caption that will be placed below it.
