Island Namespace and Search

I have a couple of questions about the Island Namespace.

1. I just noticed that my Special:Search page displays two "Island" checkboxes (which, when viewing the source, indicates that these are namespace[0] and namespace[9] values, respectively). However, I do not recall assigning/creating any Island Namespaces/Wiki Forums. How can I see why my Special:Search page has offered these Island checkboxes? More importantly, how can I remove them? Is this a bug?

2. Is there documentation on VaultWiki's use of Island-type forums? I've been searching in the Manuals but didn't find anything that directly addresses Islands and their functionality.

Not sure about the first question, but the only thing I can find on the Islands in terms of documentation is here:

It points out islands can have many articles of the same name contained within them.

Thanks. There's not much information about how VaultWiki handles Islands, and how one can identify quickly forums that have been marked as Island-type.

Short of checking each forum individually, the only way I can see is using the Special page: Islandpages, though it's currently inaccessible atm for me (here), and I don't have any Island Wiki's myself.

Editing a forum in the AdminCP shows if it's an Island Wiki, and I assume if you can access the namespaces you mentioned through your Namespace Manager, that would allow you to edit the culprit forums directly. However, I understood Island Wiki's were not linked to Namespaces... so that probably wouldn't work.

That does help, thank you. Unfortunately, I get the no-permissions error as well, even though I know I have at least one Island-type wiki forum now (for testing) and I've rebuilt namespaces several times. Hrmmm...

That said, there needs to be a better way of identifying Island-type wiki forums, especially on sites where you have hundreds of forums (like ours). So I've suggested this in the Issue Tracker here:

Maybe this is related to the other problem you've got as well. Being able to have more tools within the AdminCP would definitely be useful.
