Assign categories to multiple Wiki pages?

Like other users who are transitioning from NuWiki to VaultWiki, I used sub-forums to simulate categories in the same Wiki Namespace. Now, with VaultWiki's Special:Categories functions, I am eager to consolidate all of my sub-forums into a single Namespace and a single forum.

Question: Is there a way that I can assign a category to multiple Wiki pages at the same time, rather than assign them one Wiki page at a time?

Sadly no.

The Category functionality was based closely on MediaWiki's. As far as I know they didn't have a mechanism to add multiple pages to a category at once, so this was never developed for VaultWiki. Since it requires modification of the post text, it's also difficult to imagine how such a mechanism would even work, without dramatically changing the existing functionality.

Good to know. I've been brainstorming and have an idea/suggestion for how this might work.

However, perhaps there's a way that one could apply the parser function to simply append at the end of inline moderation checked posts a Wiki category bbcode (e.g., [category]Categoryname[/category]); possibly a sort of inline moderation option available in Wiki-enabled forums?
