Because Vaultwiki 3 will be running under vBulletin 3.8.4 i have the question for update my side in the future: Which is right way to upgrade? First disable VaultWiki and update vBulletin to 4 and after that Vaultwiki or first VaultWiki to version 3 under vBulletin 3.8.4 and than update vBulletin to version 4?

      Thanks in advance

For the smoothest upgrade, you should upgrade vBulletin 3.8.4 -> 4.0.0 first, then VaultWiki 2.5.7 -> 3.0.0.

VaultWiki's upgrader detects the version of vBulletin you're already running. If you upgraded VaultWiki first, then vBulletin, the upgrader would leave out the vB 4 steps. This wouldn't be a huge problem, thanks to the massive work we did on the upgrader on this release to catch this particular case. If you did it this way, the fix is simply to run vault/install/upgrade.php again and it will run just the vB 4 steps.
