Import from Media Wiki

Hi Folks,

in this Thread: http://www.vaultwiki.org/threads/2204/#post5203 it is told that there is a way to import data from media wiki.

i just bought vaultwiki , installed it na found it quite good integrated into the vbulletin.
but i just cannot find the way to import data from media-wiki :-/

who can help me please?

ok, meanwhile i found the manual for the importer: http://www.vaultwiki.org/pages/Help:VaultWiki-Importer

but in my importer dropdown there is no mediawiki listed, just nuwiki
so i still need some help

i got one major sql-database, in there is the database _vbForum and another database _mediawiki
does they have to be in the same database to show up in the importer?

The MediaWiki Importer is still in beta and can only be accessed in conversation with site support. Here is the pre-import checklist info:

You are about to import a MediaWiki database into VaultWiki. If MediaWiki is not in the same database as your forum, you will need to manually transfer the data before continuing.

Before continuing, review the following checklist.

Make sure you have added forums to the following namespaces via the Namespace Manager:

Template
Default

Make sure you have the following addons installed:

VaultWiki Categories
VaultWiki Images

If you have vBWiki Pro installed, make sure you have added forums to the following namespaces via the Namespace Manager:

How to proceed?
Maybe you could send me a PN with further Instructions, so you won't have to make the whole Procedure public while it's still beta.

PM sent. I recommend trying the import on a backup database first. When you are sure that your data was imported correctly, you can run the importer on your live wiki.

Of course, some of us are more daring than others, and may not care if a few users stumble across weird looking threads for a day or two.
