How do I make a REAL main page?

The manual says I can make a main page for the FORUM LINKS... but thats not a real main page...

If someone on my website goes here:
http://www.8wayrun.com/wiki2/
http://www.8wayrun.com/wiki2 (404?)

I want it to bring them to here: http://www.8wayrun.com/wiki2/Main_Page

You can do this easily by modifying your .htaccess file:

Doesn't work...

going here: http://www.8wayrun.com/wiki2 brings me to http://www.8wayrun.com/home/eightway...iki2/Main_Page

and going here: http://www.8wayrun.com/wiki2/ still brings me to that shitty vault page.

Make sure the rule appears after the RewriteBase line.

To clarify, is wiki2 a physical directory or not? The rule I posted above would only work from the root directory if wiki2 returns a 404.

wiki2 is NOT a physical directory... and my wiki is in the forum root.
