      Installing 2.5.0 Stage 7

Trying to install version 2.5.0 premium. install works fine up to stage 7. it does not fail, however it does not continue. This is particularly aggravating because to start the install process again i have to manually remove all created tables and columns.

      Stage 7 proceeds as follows:

      Step 7) Importing Plugin Code

      Importing ces_nwsp_spec-plugins.xml

      Importing Plugins

      Inserting default data into product

after this it fails to continue. any help would be helpful. Also, am running both PHP and MYSQL 5.

additionally, as far as the step 7 code goes, it only gets as far as adding the first record to the product table. after this is when it halts.

You don't have to restart the install process, only the particular step that it halted. It's possible a script error occurred, although I can't see where, and I'm sure someone else would have complained by now. Please check your server's error logs for a specific message to rule this out.

Had you installed the product or a demo of the product prior to this attempt?

Also, our database is currently showing you as unlicensed. If we post a patch, it will be very difficult for you to apply it without being logged in as a licensed user. If you are here on another users' behalf, you should log in to the appropriate account.

hi pegasus. alright i logged in under the registered account. sorry for the confusion. to answer your question, this is a fresh install on a pretty new vbulletin installed. the vb install is less than two weeks old. i have never installed any form of wiki or vaultwiki previously on this vb.

long story short i think i managed to finish the install, following the upgrade path since the majority of the fresh install was more or less complete. everything seems to be in working order as well. will have to test it more extensively soon.

here is a link to the applicable section of my error log pertaining to the install process. if anything looks out of order please let me know.

Thanks for that log segment. Since it's a new board as you say, it looks like you may have attempted to install this on your board before enabling the plugin system on your board, or with DISABLE_HOOKS set. So when the installer attempted to import the plugins, it couldn't. I've created a report for this: http://www.vaultwiki.org/issues/767/

Good to hear you managed to install it though. If you have any other issues, don't hesitate to ask. We're very friendly here and I'm sure you'd rather not frustrate yourself when we may already have the solution.
