      What links here?

I'm having trouble with categories too, but I'll work on that a bit before I ask questions about it because I'm not sure I quite get namespaces yet....

Anyways, I'm having trouble with the drop-down on articles. When I click it, I get:

      • Hide All Sections
      • Show All Sections
      • Report this page

I don't have any of the linkback/bookmarking stuff activated in vB, so I don't expect those, but why can't I find the "What links here?" menu selection?

I've installed the Categories and xpages extension and given my user class (Administrator) permissions to view all special pages.

In your Administrator's Usergroup permissions do you have both selected:
"Can view Special pages?" and "Can view Special:Whatlinkshere?"

"Can view Special pages?" doesn't auto-allow everything (but will auto-deny). Also, "What links here?" won't appear if the forum uses the "Island" setting. If you don't know what the setting is because VaultWiki auto-created the forum, then it uses the "Wiki" setting.

That's the weird thing... Can View special pages is checked, as are all of the other ones.. Thing is, there is no "Whatlinkshere" in the usergroup permissions. (I'm on 2.5.0, BTW, if that helps).

The forum is using the "Wiki" setting.

I also noticed that the "Whatlinkshere" doesn't seem to work consistently in the Demo on your site. Just FYI

In AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> vBulletin Options -> VaultWiki: Server Settings, is "Enable Link Caching?" set to "Yes"?

Whatlinkshere needs the data collected by link caching in order to create its report.

      Ahhh... it isn't... Good catch...

One other question... What does it mean by "intensive"?
The more posts your forum has, the more intensive tracking this information can be.
My forum has 13.5 M posts.....?

Ouch. VaultWiki counts the number of links used in your forum posts. If the number of posts is high, it's likely the number of links will also be high. If you only allow Auto-Links in wiki forums (under "VaultWiki: General Settings"), the number of links will be much lower, but VaultWiki will still check for other kinds of wiki links.

I don't know how well your server handles that 13.5 M posts. I wouldn't enable link caching unless you know it can also handle counting the rows of a similar-sized link table.

Well, the vBulletin search was rendered useless (even in FULLTEXT) at about 1.5M-2M posts and I'm using a sphinx hack to allow for search functionality... Most other things work okay (except the coventry function, which also causes locking issues).

I'll stay away from that option, and explore the Wiki-only links... That's what I was more interested in anyways! TYVM!
