Question Buying vault wiki prem version questions

It began a few weeks ago when I was helping an admin on their board with your wiki software very confusing and I couldn't help much, anyway I became interested in the wiki and I have been here for a few weeks milling about and reading and I am going to buy the prem. vault for one of my sites.

Is there also a brand free version available? I wish to add that to my purchase. How is support? I will really need it..lol... really!

      wiki: Bear Book
      wiki: Site Projects

Glad to hear how you found us. I will try to answer your questions, though I doubt some things will make sense until you see the admin interface again.

In the VaultWiki 2.x series, there is no branding, so you do not have to worry about that at the current time. There is one link on the Special:Version page that tells you what version of the software you're running - and this can be hidden from users via permissions. When we release VaultWiki 3.x for vB 4.x, the branding situation may change for that particular version.

Support here is great. You can ask some of our existing customers. Typically we have speedy issue resolution times, and we post code fixes when feasible so users may not have to wait for a new build to solve their issue. Currently the professional installation option is free upon request, but everyone likes their wiki a different way, and we encourage people to use the install process to get to know some of the key admin tools.

A lot of users tend to send PMs about bugs and such, but we really prefer that they open public tickets, so that other users can benefit from the resolution, and so we can track the progress better.

If you are talking about the word "Namespace" that appears in the forum list, you have a few options. That word is phrased, so you can "translate" it to say "Wiki". Or you can use the "Display Title" field when setting up your namespaces, which will hide the "Namespace" prefix from the forum list. However, the Display Title will be used in the breadcrumbs, and possibly some other minor places I am forgetting.

Thank you pegasus, I am going to purchase it right now and hopefully for your version 3 brand-less will be and option for a little extra change.

I have a test board where I will try to work on this vault wiki until I feel confident to put it on my (intended site and live) then I will delete it from my closed test site.

phew, I am not too confident I understand the way this works, I could not help the other admin on their site and only hit on a few things that seems to work... even after reading instructions over and over.... plus I am no coder... nope not at all.

      Off to buy it now.
