Autolink management and rename

I created an article titled English about the English watch industry. The title is obviously too general and now every reference on the message board to the English or their language generate a link to the article.

I renamed the article English Watches on the theory that the links to English would go away and links to English Watches would appear. That has not happened.

There must be a process for handling this since it is bound to be a common error.

I suppose I could delete the article and recreate it with the new name. Would that work, or is there a more elegant way to do this?

Never mind, I figured it out. I need to go to the original article by backtracking the redirect and actually delete the original article.
