      Question Wiki editor choices

I have two related questions about the editor in Vault Wiki.

When I am editing an article, I only have the WYSIWYG editor available. It is difficult to edit complex lists with different counter types with the WYSIWYG editor since everything gets parsed immediately and there is no interface that I can find to modify the list to be A, 1, I, i, etc. There are other situations where I would really like to see the codes instead of their result, but LIST seems to be the most annoying.

I have given one of my major user groups access to the wiki articles and they are just starting to look at edits. When they look, they see no editing functions at all. The entire top of the editor is missing. This is similar to the window I see when editing a segment with a header, but I still see the wiki buttons.

I am still having problems with all the permissions and cannot find where the style of the editor is controlled in the Admin CP.

      Lightbulb An insight?

I had not carefully read the section on edit time limit.

We limit regular post edit times to 1 hour on our site, so a setting of 0 limits the wiki editing to 1 hour also. I presume what my users are seeing is an "uneditable" article.

The idea of an edit time limit is counter to my understanding of what a wiki is. I think of the wiki as a community collaboration on a given article where there are a significantly large number of editor/creators. I would rather use the protection mechanism to control the ability of users to edit the article and I thought that was how it worked.

I am happy with the 1 hour limit on editing comments, but I would rather the wiki were permanently open unless protected. I have set the time to 30 days now, but that still seems awkward and I suspect it extends the comment edit period the same.

I agree. I think we will remove the article edit time limit in an upcoming build. Can you confirm that this is what was causing the editor strangeness? I have logged onto your site and can switch freely between Standard & WYSIWYG on the articles I checked.
