      Problem updating/upgrading

      Hi,

I just upgraded my 2.0.2 to the latest 2.1.2, and now my board complains.

Invalid default namespace ID detected. Make sure that the CES VaultWiki option "Namespace ID of the Default Namespace" matches a namespace ID from left column of the Namespace Manager (default: 6) and is not a forum ID.

If that setting is correct, it is possible that the Namespace Cache is not up to date because of corruption or a recent VaultWiki upgrade. To solve this issue, simply go to the Namespace Manager and select Rebuild All Namespaces.

I rebuilt the namespaces, but the error does not go away.

      These are my defined namespaces:

      0 Island n.v.t. n.v.t. [Rebuild]
      1 Wiki [special] [Wijzigen]
      2 Wiki [template] toplevelforum Template
      3 Wiki [help] toplevelforum Help
4 Header [header] no toplevelforum defined
      5 Header [book] toplevelforum Book
      6 Header [header] toplevelforum Wiki

Any idea what I forgot or need to do to get things working again ?

I do not have any content in it (just a few test articles) so I can uninstall. Still I think upgrading should be possible.

      Thanks,

      Taco

Yeah, that certainly was a large version jump. A lot has changed. Not sure if this was just an error in copying the info, but the first thing I would try: Your namespaces should all have unique names and tags.

Also, make sure that the setting "The namespace ID of the default namespace" is set to 6.

Ok, maybe you can let me know what namespaces I should have or create, because the docs don't talk about that at all. I even don't know what a namespace is for

Once they are all there, I can set the id of the default namespace I guess.

I think I should have updated version by version, but with vB, I can skip a few versions without any problems.

      Thanks,

      Taco

My guess is that your settings got messed up because the "top-level forums" you had set up in 2.0.2 were in fact NOT top-level. You will need to rearrange your forum structure so that the forums for these namespaces are not children of any other forums. I doubt you will even be able to make the corrections above until this is done.

Ok, the problem is gone now, and everythings seems to be working ....

except that the auto-linking is not happening anymore. Is there a setting I need to activate ?

Yes, there's a setting for enabling autolinks in the mod's options. If this does not work, try "Rebuild All Namespaces" from the Namespace Manager, then go to Wiki Article Tools and clear the Article Post Cache.

That was already on. I disabled and enabled it again, with no difference.

If I click the Clear Article Post Cache I get:

      Could not find phrase 'uncached_articles_successfully'.

And still no links .... (although they existed before the upgrade.
I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Vault software.
