      Nothing there.

I don't think the Wiki installed right the first time. I am thinking a new install might help.

Okay. It's strange that that happened, though. What version did you have before upgrading to 2.1.2?

It was 2.1.1, I believe. I don't think it was ever installed properly, probably something I did, because some of the features like the "Books" never did work.

OK, before I reinstall, I see that vBulletin has come out with an update. Just to add to the problem. Should I install the vBulletin update before I reinstall the wiki? I would like to do this right this time.

It's usually a good idea to keep vBulletin up to date first.

Will do. I'll be back after I update vBulleting and reinstall CESVault Wiki.

OK, I got the Wiki working, I think. And on the pull down menu the "Books" link takes me to a special page where the article is started for the book. I have some chapters of the book ready.

How do I insert the chapters into the Book?

Go to the article that you want as a chapter. Go to the Book tab, and select the Book you want to add it to.

      Where is the book tab?

I have looked at your wiki and do not have the "Book" tab like you do on here. There are a lot of tabs above the edit window, but no book tab.

The tabs that are across the top of the article are:

article discussion edit history protect move delete watch

The buttons in the pull down menu on the top in the forum menu are:

      LAD Wiki (list)
      Post New Article
      Special Pages
      Books
      Recent Changes

In the CES Vault Wiki in the Admin CP, I have the book set to appear:

Display the Book Navagation Links? Above Article.

Your wiki is not set up correctly. You have somehow managed to get a number of namespaces to be nested inside of each other.

It's likely on your most recent install you fell victim to the issue described (and solved) here: https://www.vaultwiki.org/showthread.php?t=1585, and you just didn't notice some of the items in the instructions were missing.

When you're done with that you will have to fix your namespace settings in the manager and possibly move some of your articles around.

OK, I am getting extremely frustrated by this. I do not know how to do queries and no nothing about databases. I just want this to work and it seems that I am getting nowhere.

Can you give more information than you are, as these one or two sentence response are doing nothing to get this problem solved?

Oh I didn't realize you were the same user from that thread. Sorry for the added confusion there.

First make sure that the Book namespace is correct, because it is possible that the forums were set up wrong in your earlier install, and you are attempting to use the same forums. I'm a bit confused myself as to why the Namespace Manager would allow you to do this, but it looks like it happened.

Check the Top-Level Forum for the Book namespace. Make sure it is not the same as the Top-Level Forum for the LAD Wiki namespace. If it is (and I don't know how this is even possible), in the Forum Manager, make sure your "Book" forum has Parent Forum = "No One." Then change the Book namespace's Top-Level Forum to "Book" rather than "LAD Wiki."

Now your namespaces are correct. If the Book tab still does not appear in your articles, you might have to click "Rebuild" next to the Book namespace in the Namespace Manager.

If this is too confusing for you, feel free to PM me regarding doing it for you.

I can now easily add chapters to the Book I started. This is great.
