Hello Pegasus,
Can you show me an example of how to implement Category a-la-wikipedia style?
Thanks in advance
In an article, [category]Category Title[/category] would add the article to "Category Title."

And how do I display the Category on the (main) page?
When I say "main page", I am referring to something like wikipedia's category page; a place that user would first come to, choose the category or do a search on.
Thanks again
You can link to the Category using [category=Category Title]Some text[/category].
If you are talking about the Category listing directly, this is available on the ?title=Category:Category+Title page.

Can you give an example?
I'm having a problem with categories - not sure if I'm understanding things correctly.
I've inputted text on a new article and used [category]Name of Category[/category]
When I do this the category links to the Category namespace and the CSS takes over to show it in black and red etc.
But when I go and view that Category it just says:
"There is currently no text in this page."
I thought the function of this tool was that it would add the pages to the Category so that when you click to that Category you will see all the pages that are defined as belonging to that Category?
Have I misunderstood or am I doing something wrong?
For info:
I have setup a default forum that is linked to the default namespace.
I then setup another forum that is linked to the category namespace.
I have input the default namespace ID and the category namespace ID in the relevant sections in the settings menu.
There is a difference between the option and no_option version of the BB-Code.
In an article, to add said article to a category:If it is not in an article, the above would simply link to the category. Also if it was written like the following, it would link to the category even in an article (not add to the category):Code:[noparse][category]Name of Category[/category][/noparse]
Code:[noparse][category=Name of Category]Some Category-related Text[/category][/noparse]

Hi Pegasus:
If I use either the [category] or the [category=x] tags it just creates a link to the category in the category namespace. When you go to that category there's nothing there so I presume it's not adding them properly for me.
Thanks for your help so far on both topics.
In some copies of the ZIP, the one and only CES VaultWiki Categories option was misleading, because it asked for a forum ID, when you were really supposed to enter a Namespace ID (as specified in the instructions). If you followed the instructions over the option text, there should not be a problem.
There is another problem that other users have experienced, but the BB-Code would not even parse as a link. Because admins can now define the BB-Code tag themselves in the Namespace Manager, you may need to use something other than [category]. But if the tag is parsing at all, this would not be the problem.

Pegasus,
I don't think it's either of those two things from what you're saying. I'll send you a PM with the wiki address and I'd appreciate if you could have a very quick look when you get a chance, to see if there's something that's obviously wrong.
Pegasus, did you ever get to the bottom of this problem?
Thanks
Yeah it was fixed last week by the Categories build 1.0.4.

Thanks, sorry didn't realise there was an updated build.
Thanks for your help Pegasus. Support has been excellent.
